Mobile Auto Glass Delta — we come to you

Next-day windows are typical for Delta, with same-day possible when routing lines up; you get an exact arrival window when we confirm the booking.

Delta is really three communities sharing a name — North Delta up against Surrey, Ladner in the farmland, and Tsawwassen out by the ferry terminal — and all three sit downstream of serious truck traffic. Highway 17 carries a steady run of container trucks to and from Deltaport, and the Alex Fraser feeds Nordel Way with everything heading to the river crossings.

That mix is exactly how Delta windshields get hurt: a stone out of a container chassis on 17, gravel shed on the Nordel climb, or grit tracked out of a farm access road onto Ladner Trunk. The damage is ordinary; the distances are what make a shop visit annoying. Mobile service removes the drive entirely — the van comes to the house.

Delta is generous territory for mobile work: driveways are long, carports are common, and even Tsawwassen's newer builds usually offer a workable pad. The job needs level ground, room to open both front doors, and about a car length of space — most Delta addresses clear that bar without thinking about it.

Where Delta windshields take their hits

  • Highway 17 (Deltaport corridor)

Container trucks run this all day; stones off chassis and trailer decks account for a big share of local chips. Following distance is the defence.

  • Nordel Way

The climb between the Alex Fraser and Scott Road carries loaded trucks working hard — gravel shed clusters on the grades.

  • Ladner Trunk Road / Highway 10

Farm equipment and field access track mud and stone onto the roadway; strikes spike near the busier farm gates in season.

  • Highway 99 ferry runs

Tsawwassen terminal traffic bunches hard around sailings — packs of vehicles mean more thrown stones per kilometre.

Where the van can (and can’t) work in Delta

  • Ladner and Tsawwassen driveways are usually ideal: flat, long, and private. North Delta's steeper pads mostly work too — mention a steep or shared driveway when booking and we plan for it.
  • Working near the farm roads? A gravel shoulder is not a work surface — a paved driveway or quiet paved side street nearby does the job properly.
  • Ferry-day timing matters in Tsawwassen: sailings bunch traffic on 17A at predictable hours, so morning slots book smoother than mid-afternoon.
  • Rain plan: chip repairs need a dry windshield and replacements need a dry panel at moderate temperatures. A carport or garage keeps a wet-day booking on schedule; with no cover in heavy rain, we rebook to the next dry window.

Delta questions

Do you cover all three parts of Delta?

Yes — North Delta, Ladner, and Tsawwassen are all inside the service area, including the farmland addresses between them. The van comes to the address you give us, wherever in Delta it sits.

Can you meet me near the ferry terminal?

We work at real addresses rather than the terminal itself — a driveway, workplace, or arranged private lot in Tsawwassen works. Glass work needs still, level, legal space, and the terminal queues offer none of the three.

What happens if it is raining on my booking day?

Chip repairs need dry glass, and replacement adhesive needs a dry, moderate-temperature panel to bond. Under a carport or garage the job goes ahead as booked; with no cover in heavy rain, we move you to the next dry window. Either way the price is agreed in writing before the van rolls, so the weather never changes the number.
